This weekend we received a letter from Sebin and Jojo. Both boys live in India and are such a delight to hear from. I just love the native handwriting at the top of Jojo's letter. I believe it is Malayalam (the language most commonly spoken in their region). Sebin's letters are always written by one of the project staff on his behalf. This is the first letter I have seen from India in their native language. The handwriting is so delicate and beautiful. They almost always open their letters "In The Name of Jesus Christ." It is interesting to see the differences between their letters and the ones from Astrid and Lidia in Guatemala. As always they pray for us. How humbling their letters are. We are blessed by each of these children of God.
Sponsoring children in need is breaking the cycle of poverty. Compassion International exists as a Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults. Today, Compassion helps more than 1 million children in 25 countries.
