This weekend we also received a new picture of Lidia from Guatemala. Lidia is now 9 years old. I like the Compassion Projects that provide uniforms for the kids. Uniforms put everyone on an even level and I think in a community plagued by poverty it is wonderful to see the kids self worth and self esteem improve through simple steps like providing uniforms. I do think Compassion may need to work on their photographers abilities to get the kids to smile. The kids we sponsor always look so serious in their pictures. Smiles or not new pictures are wonderful to receive!
