In one week we were blessed to receive a new picture and letter from Sebin in India and two letters from Lidia in Guatemala. I am still so humbled by their thoughtful words and open hearts. What generous children they are asking about how we are doing and always sending prayers to God on our behalf. If you look closely at Sebins letter you will see that he wrote out the A, B, C’s in English. I was fascinated to learn that Lydia is learning English and Sebin must also have some exposure to English too. I didn’t expect them to have teachings in a second language at their Compassion Project Sites. But if they become bi-lingual it can only help their employment possibilities as young adults. Alex is taking Spanish in school and does try to read Lidia’s and Astrid’s letters when they arrive. He does understand some of it but still has a long way to go. We are so fortunate to have these children in our lives and hearts. We gain so much from our relationship with them. My cup definitely runneth over tonight!
