I am preparing to write to Astrid and to send her a St. Patrick’s Day Peanuts card and stickers. I loved the Peanuts when I was growing up, especially Snoopy. I doubt that Astrid knows of the comic strip but maybe one day I will collect some cute comics from the paper and send them her direction. Last night in the mail we received an update on Guatemala. Currently there are 125 Compassion projects in Guatemala and approximately 30,294 children enrolled in the Compassion Projects. If I look up kids to sponsor from Guatemala on the Compassion site there are currently 80 children waiting for sponsorship.
Prayer requests for Guatemala include:
Pray for the medical needs of the children living in Guatemala.
Pray that the child development staff in Guatemala will be sensitive to the physical and emotional needs of children registered in their programs.
Pray that the children of Guatemala will pursue their dreams – and that their lives will be filled with adults who love and support them.

Sponsoring children in need is breaking the cycle of poverty.
